Peter started attending St John’s as a holidaymaker in 1985, with 2/3 visits per year. With his wife, he then moved to France in 2000 and became a full-time member of St John’s, where he served as Treasurer for 20 years, with 6 years off to be Churchwarden. We were delighted to celebrate his 80th birthday after church on 22 February in the usual way – a rousing version of “Happy Birthday”, a delicious birthday cake, and either alcoholic or non-alcoholic “fizz”.
