SUMMARY:Annual ecumenical service
DESCRIPTION:The annual ecumenical service takes place during the week of prayer for Christian unity\, and involves several churches in the St Raphael\, Frejus area including ourselves. Each tradition takes a turn to host the service\, but this year as it is the turn of the Orthodox Church they have asked to use our building as it can hold more people. \nThis service will therefore take place at St John’s on 22 January at 7.30 and all are welcome to attend. People from various churches will be taking part\, inlcuding our own representative Marion Siggemann and our current locum\, Revd Paul Payton.  St John’s choir will be singing \, as always\, and drinks and snacks will be served afterwards to encourage interaction between the churches. \n  \nWe hope to see you there\, supporting this important example of “churches together”.

DESCRIPTION:We have been approached by the priest at the Eglise St Michel in Grimaud village\, and a representative of the Mayor\, to restart the English carol service that we used to do several years ago. DESCRIPTION:Our annual carol service\, based on the format introduced by King’s College\, Cambridge\, Chapel in 1918\, will take place on Sunday 17 December at 18.00. There will be well-known carols for you to sing (one in French)\, the choir will sing two seasonal anthems accompanied by violin and organ\, and there will be scripture readings in many European languages (with translations!).
