Many of you will know that we have sold the previous church apartment in La Gabelle as it was coming to the age when major upgrades would be necessary, and the absence of a lift for access to the third floor has always been a problem. Tom and Dawn have been actively involved from the start of our quest, as it will be their home for next 4 years, and eventually we found a two bedroom apartment in the Villeneuve area of Fréjus which would suit the budget. Although it was in good condition, there was some work to do – update the air conditioning and electrical supply and decorate all through – so, taking into account the high cost of legal fees here in France we were unsure whether we would break even. However, thanks to your response to our plea for donations towards this major change, and the selfless giving of their time and skills by a couple from church who did all the decorating free of charge, we came out of it with 702€ profit! Thank you all for helping us to achieve this.
